LA PECORA NERA — A LOVELY TINY SPOT FOR VENETIAN CUISINE

LA PECORA NERA — A LOVELY TINY SPOT FOR VENETIAN CUISINE

I have a thing for northern Italian cuisine, so a place withpolenta in a cast-iron pan, a big plate of risotto and homemade pasta feels just right. The dishes at La Pecora Nera are hearty, honest and simple; all delicious and authentic. Just like the food, the atmosphere at this tiny Venetian trattoria is unpretentious yet charming. The little tables are covered with red-and-white table cloth, little souvenirsdecorate the walls and the fridge whirrs next to the door. You come here to meet friends, enjoy Italian classics and to have a relaxed evening. I recommend going for a salad plus main dish instead of a desert, and reserving a table in advance — it’s tiny! In summertime it’s a great spot to go before or after a trip to the Tempelhofer field. (Text: Nina Trippel / Photos: Benjamin Lindenkreuz)
