ALMA CLAUSEN RECOMMENDS: HEIMAT ZINE

ALMA CLAUSEN RECOMMENDS: HEIMAT ZINE

This is as beautiful as it gets: a fanzine by readers for readers called Heimat Zine. Printed digitally on home printers (ink jet and laser) as well as Risograph, they are limited to 200 copies. Folded, bound and numbered by three students with a passion for printed matters, Anselm, Lina and Sophie, it is a semiannual publication and there have been two issues released so far. The title “Heimat” (home) was chosen because everyone can relate to it; home can be anywhere and everywhere, new or old. The current issue is an eye candy, literally, because it’s about home and food coexisting in harmony. Childhood memories of apple sauce and pancakes that bring warm and fuzzy feelings in your belly. Food that makes you happy. It also includes recipes for your favorite treats and everyday dishes. You’ll be turning the pages, satiating your palate visually. Find a nice quiet spot, ideally in the autumn sun, and discover this zine slowly, enjoying each step of the way.

Alma Clausen doesn’t live in Berlin but loves to visit the city. She runs her own blog and online magazine kiosk Printe.
