AMANDA TISCHBIER RECOMMENDS: TOMMI’S BURGER JOINT

AMANDA TISCHBIER RECOMMENDS: TOMMI’S BURGER JOINT

The battle for the best burger in Berlin continues with a fierce contender in Tommi’s Burger Joint, an Iceland-based, family-owned restaurant with outlets in London, Copenhagen, Reykjavik, and now Mitte. Tommi’s are honest and delicious burgers, made the way they should be with juicy, hand-formed patties of organic Scottish black angus beef, flame-broiled and sandwiched between a soft bun (baked daily in Berlin using Tommi’s recipe), crunchy iceburg lettuce, a slice of tomato and a sprinkling of red onion, ketchup, mayo, and mustard. Tommi’s special sauce, a thousand island blend, is served on the side. And don’t forget to order the homemade Bearnaise; both sauces are perfect for dunking your fries or smearing on your burger. Thick shakes are blended with ice cream sourced from a family-owned creamery in Iceland, and are the perfect ending to a deliciously indulgent meal. P.S. They will be at Burgers & Hip Hop this Saturday!
