Today, childhood friends Robert Zeise, Sebastian Kunath, and Lasse Schnack share not only countless youthful memories, but above all a passion for contemporary design. Since 2007, they’ve been creating functional furniture with names like Lenz, Puk, and Usus. They craft their designs in the former home of Lasse’s grandfather – today, the team’s workshop and showroom. And they keep things familiar: everyone cooks lunch together, and in the afternoons, the families come, kids scurrying around the courtyard. In other words, it’s worth stopping by, and not just for the furniture. Next opportunity? Night Shift 2016 – Berlin Design Night, when the ten-person crew invites everyone over to a courtyard barbecue and a presentation of their latest designs. (Text: Stephanie Johne)
