BICHOU — FRENCH CLASSICS MADE WITH THE SEASONS

BICHOU — FRENCH CLASSICS MADE WITH THE SEASONS

Searching for a certain “Je ne sais quoi” in Berlin? Look no further than Neukölln’s Bichou, a French farmhouse eatery-cum-Parisian bistro that’s filling the area’s lunch gap with delicious, fresh and accessible food. You’ll be able to get acquainted with both owners — chef Thomas working in the open kitchen cooking and Marion greeting guests with a warm smile at the counter. Made with modern French cooking techniques, their caramelized tarte Tatin oozes tradition and their ever-changing quiches leave you wanting more. Marion and Thomas seek out the highest quality ingredients, and make nearly everything they can in house — even rolling their own oats for their granola. Plus, with a zero waste ethos, nearly nothing goes to waste. Similar to another Neukölln favorite, Isla Coffee, Bichou uses milk left from making coffees as a base for their milk jam — a perfect partner to their buttery “brioche à tête.” With a small weekly menu that features salads, soups, sandwiches and quiches, you’ll always be able to sample the season at Bichou.
