Flowers by bike – that’s the concept of Bloomage Daydream, founded in summer 2015. The idea was inspired by the David Bowie song “Moonage Daydream” and the concept is meant to be an alternative to the usual, environmentally questionable flower delivery services. At Bloomage Daydream, the flowers are all from regional flower growers, and as only two bouquet choices are offered per week, waste is minimised. These details are very important to Caroline Stephenson, who worked as an intern for a florist in London before starting her company in Berlin. Every Tuesday, Caroline gets up at around four in the morning to browse the different flower markets and select her handmade bouquets for the week. These are then available to order from her online shop for seven days, until they are replaced by her upcoming creations.
