Loveco is the best proof in Berlin that eco fashion can look beautiful and hip without leaving a hole in your wallet. With her profound knowledge and passion, founder Christina Wille made ethical fashion accessible to everyone with Loveco and I was thrilled to see her open a second branch, Loveco Selected, in Kreuzberg recently. Tucked away on a side street off the canal, a positive vibe surrounds you as soon as you enter the old wooden door. The high ceilings and stucco walls add to the unique charm of this Berlin “Altbau”. Complementing some commercial brands like Armed Angels, the new space boasts a careful selection of smaller, individual labels, like Lovjoi and Jan’N June, plus a range of creative eco accessories. All designs are hand-picked and based around the same core principles: fair, eco, and vegan. Christina knows the founders, stories, materials and production processes behind each piece and is happy to share them with anyone who asks – and, from 2018, we can look forward to a growing shoe selection.
