First I was a bit skeptical about this new shopping mall; but after my visit this morning, I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. Leaving out few big commercial stores, it’s the small boutiques and the amazing view straight into the zoo that make this place worth the trip. Shops like Odeeh, Mykita, Supernova (Firmament x Nike) line next to each other. Murkudis himself is involved in three projects and Gestalten Publishing expanded their collection with an added coffee shop. Vitra and Artek collaborated with Do You Read Me, and Comme des Garçonsand the pop up diner Pret A Diner installed a temporary coffee shop. There are many more to explore and it is definitely one of the most innovating malls in Berlin. For this opening weekend, they will be open on Sunday. (Text & photos: Sven Hausherr)
