In the preface to the first edition of KubaParis we stated our aim: that the diversity and creativity of the world’s young art scene should have a place on our pages. Verena Gillmeier and Claudia Rech, who opened their gallery in 2013, are the epitome of this fresh breeze of young artists. Crowds, swept up by this promising gust, pack out their vernissages. Collaborations take place at eye level and their contact with collectors is growing steadily. However, the path to economic success is a troublesome one. Hard work, patience, courage and enthusiasm comprise the unwavering foundation that keeps Gillmeier Rech going. The exuberance of the curators is easily sensed by attendees. It is a feeling that will be in the air tomorrow when US artist Lindsay Lawson presents her new work. In her second solo exhibition, “The Inner Lives of Objects”, Lawson examines the possibility that a reality exists for objects in isolation from their sources, uses and owners. (Text: Amelie gr.
