EUROPEAN ART CINEMA DAY AT IL KINO: FEATURING THE NOTWIST

EUROPEAN ART CINEMA DAY AT IL KINO: FEATURING THE NOTWIST

This Sunday (15.10.17) is European Art Cinema Day, where over 1,000 cinemas in countries from Belarus to Chile will celebrate the diverse landscape of European arthouse film. A handful of Berlin cinemas will take part and offer curated programs, but our highlight is found at Il Kino in Neukölln, where Markus Acher – from the famous German rock band, The Notwist – will be discussing his work writing several soundtracks for movies like “Kanalschwimmer” and “Was Bleibt”. Both before and after the 60 minute talk with Markus at 19h, you can catch screenings of the films his music is featured in, starting from 12h. Peek the full program here for details and times, and wherever you choose to spend European Art Cinema Day – we hope you find it insightful and inspiring.
