SHOWROOM OPENING: CENTURY-CROSSOVERS OF ABSTRACT ART

SHOWROOM OPENING: CENTURY-CROSSOVERS OF ABSTRACT ART

What does Mike Tyson’s famous phrase “Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face” have to do with art? Both are characterized by fluidity and a bold, experimental nature. If you’re not convinced, this weekend is your chance: On Friday and Saturday, Die Kunsthandlung opens two showrooms that place contemporary art alongside nineteenth century artworks. By juxtaposing abstract art from different centuries, whether painting, installation, or photography, visitors experience a unique combination of past and present narratives. (Text: Victoria Pease)
