A temporary garden has been set-up in Berlin-Mitte since the beginning of August in effort to wake up nature in the city. The project “Little Wood” arose from the initiative of the Contemporary Food Labs in cooperation with students of “Urbane Pflanzenökophysiologie” at HU Berlin. Solar powered kiosk awaits you on Invalidenstrasse, where you can grab the first drinks and nom noms of the day – ready for a picnic! Little Wood itself is hiding behind the trees lining the street: you can smell, feel, and taste the nature here. Wooden boxes with mint, tomatoes, melissa, basil, potatoes, and chard growing inside. You see where the ingredients served on the table comes from. Evening events alternate between lectures, workshops, screenings, supper clubs, live music and yoga classes. Don’t miss the last days as the garden will close it’s doors on August 31, hosting a flower market. Come over, sip a cool drink, and enjoy the sunset. (Text: Milena Kalojanov / Photos: XXXX)
