DZAINO STUDIO — HANDMADE UPCYCLED DENIM BAGS

DZAINO STUDIO — HANDMADE UPCYCLED DENIM BAGS

Don’t let your new years resolution go unfulfilled — get yourself a sustainably made denim yoga mat bag and you’ll be dying to show it off any chance you get. Since 2015, denim duo Julia and Hanna have been transforming the way Berliners look at jeans with a laid back, alternative way of wearing denim under the name Dzaino. Their practical collection contains upcycled denim bags of all shapes and sizes, but their “Weekender” bag is seriously perfect — just big enough for a weekend away, but small enough to use every day. For me, this bag’s design has a unique sense of 90’s zeitgeist, and I love it. Situated in a little nook off Nansenstraße, Dzaino’s new studio is where they make their bags, by hand, with care, patience and attention to detail. The brand’s ethos is simple: to make the consumer aware of who makes the item, how it is made, and what materials/fabric it’s made from. By giving new life to neglected denim, their collection is extremely wearable and gives you yet another way to go green. (Text: Emilie Wade / Photos: Emilie Wade, Dzaino)
