FRENCH CUISINE AT ITS BEST — AT THE BRASSERIE LAMAZÈRE

FRENCH CUISINE AT ITS BEST — AT THE BRASSERIE LAMAZÈRE

If your portemonnaie turns down your brilliant Paris trip idea, then opt for a detour to Charlottenburg instead. The Stuttgarter Platz is known to be a rather un-charming area, but this true bijou promises to satisfy your Francophile longings: Brasserie Lamazère. As a son of a well-established star-crowned chef in Paris, one might say that becoming an authentic French chef was Monsieur Regis Lamazère’s destiny. Throughout his career, the culinary globetrotter made various stops in France and Los Angeles, before finally settling in Berlin and returning to his roots here. Oeuf cocotte, eggs with ham from Bayonne baked in a casserole en miniature, is a classic on his menu and his coq au vin is truly manifique. Allow the chef to recommend you the perfect wine for the evening and all of a sudden Montmartre will seem only a step away. (Text: Astrid Bruckmann; photos: Torsten Roman)
