SARAH LUCAS’ SUBVERSIVE EASTER CELEBRATION AT CFA

SARAH LUCAS’ SUBVERSIVE EASTER CELEBRATION AT CFA

Prominent British artist Sarah Lucas has been making evocative, feminist art for almost 25 years, defining her style with the use of various everyday items and becoming known for her signature “nuds” made from gnarled nylon stockings. To kick off her sixth exhibition at CFA Berlin, Lucas is inviting a free-flowing mixture of artists and friends to come together for a weekend dedicated to Easter themes like The Last Supper, the Passion, and the Resurrection. Events will take place over the four day Easter weekend starting with the opening of her new exhibition, “FunQroc – I Think I Love You” this Thursday (13.4.17). Combining a works from throughout her career with some new works-in-progress, we can expect her signature materials and style to be present in each piece – from found domestic objects to concrete, photographs to her iconic “nuds”. After the exhibition launch, continue to explore Lucas’ vision through the weekend with collective art-making events and meals directed by the artist herself.
