JUGGLEHUB — A COWORKING SPACE OFFERING CHILDCARE

It’s no secret that juggling childcare and work can be challenging. To address this issue, Silvia Steude and Katja Thiede opened a special kind of coworking space, JuggleHub, in Prenzlauer Berg in 2016, to give parents the opportunity to bring children to work with them. While little ones are supervised by experienced childcare professionals in groups of two to four, their parents can concentrate on work just a few doors down. One of the carefully-furnished rooms is used for games; another for sleeping or breastfeeding. The atmosphere in the bright working spaces is one of focus and productivity, which has led some non-parents to set up their mobile offices here. Three event rooms, located at the other end of the building with modular furniture options, can be rented via the website or Spacebase. JuggleHub members receive a discount, though non-members can also hire them. Meetings across a wide variety of professions, from design to law, take place here on a regular basis, as do “Eat & Greet” networking breakfasts, during which the spotlight is turned to topics like starting a business or investing.
