KRISTIANE KEGELMANN TURNS CHOCOLATERIE INTO A FINE ART

Take a closer look at the sculptural installations of Kristine Kegelmann and you might find yourself thinking they look good enough to eat. You’d be right — they are. Working exclusively with natural, high quality ingredients, the trained patissier and food artist takes praline creation into the realm of fine art, producing mouthwatering sugar sculptures for exhibitions, events and custom orders. Having just opened her Prenzlauer Berg studio in March 2017, Kegelmann is now inviting the public to experience her edible art through open days and workshops. The next one takes place on 23.3.17, when you can join her for an evening of artistic praline experimentation and creation, inspired by springtime in Berlin. Over wine and savory nibbles, you’ll learn the building blocks of chocolaterie, engage in a chocolate tasting and create your own sugar pieces to take home. Intrigued? Find out more and register here, and support Kegelmann’s endeavors by contributing to her Kickstarter campaign, which ends this Saturday (18.3.17).
