The former chef of Themroc has opened up a new joint. It’s a casual French bistro with a concise menu accompanied by a nice selection of drinks. We sat outside so we could take advantage of the setting sun and chose the veal tartare and a refreshing cold melon lime soup for starters, a perfect combination on a warm summer evening. To follow I enjoyed a tender steak with homemade fries and a cold bottle of Leffe beer. Les Valseuses is a welcome addition to this somewhat obscure area near the Eberswalder Strasse U-bahn stop in Prenzlauer Berg.
