NADINE MAY RECOMMENDS: CAFÉ ELIZA & LIEBLINGSSTÜCKE

NADINE MAY RECOMMENDS: CAFÉ ELIZA & LIEBLINGSSTÜCKE

On a quiet street that is centrally located yet often overlooked, a new coffee shop opened its doors. You can see from afar that the place is beautiful and full of love. As you enter Café Eliza through an old and sweet remolded door, you are instantly welcomed by the wonderful coffee aroma. Inside you’ll find various homemade cakes and delights along with their specialty item avocado-stulle, fresh juices and some unexpected rare finds. An old wooden mirror, crystal wine decanters, a massive post office shelf from the 30’s, multi-colored lanterns, a baby’s crib from last century, kitchen tables, crochet blankets – the list goes on – all for sale! Owner Anne says that she’s had her shop concept in mind for quite a long time, and that her friends gave her pieces of jewelry from all over the world to sell at the store for her birthday last year. Her friends must know her very well since everything in there look unique but pleasantly harmonious at the same time. (photos: Jessica Polar)
