PONY HÜTCHEN VINTAGE — DESIGN TREASURES WITH SOUL & A STORY

PONY HÜTCHEN VINTAGE — DESIGN TREASURES WITH SOUL & A STORY

If you’ve spent time in Kaffee 9 recently and have found yourself admiring the warm, rustic interior, note this name: Pony Hütchen Vintage. At the heart of this 2007-established vintage store-cum-interior consultancy is a curated selection of rare vintage furniture and one-off living accessories. With passion and a discerning eye, founder Lilli Nielsen travels around the country in her old VW bus to source her finds — from antique travel trunks to elegant Midcentury lampshades and delicate enamelware. It’s all for sale at her haven of a store, tucked right next to Markthalle Neun. Nielsen also offers interior styling and event rentals — for the likes of pop-up events (Conflictfood, Thomas Henry) and film sets (Ku’Damm 56). Oh, and that milking stool from which you drank your pourover at Kaffee 9? It’s for sale — as is every piece in the establishments Pony Hütchen fits out. Next time you drop by, you might find yourself taking home a new treasure as well as a caffeine hit. (Text: Anna Dorothea Ker / Photos: Pony Hütchen Vintage)
