STRUCTURE: CONTEMPORARY NORWEGIAN CRAFTS & DESIGN

Unfortunately you can’t take the objects home – although that’s all you want to do after seeing “Structure — Norwegian contemporary crafts and design”. Held at the Nordic Embassies, the design exhibition is yet more proof that Scandinavians have a knack for creating the perfect shapes and color palette. Like the soft blue porcelain plates “Steinlav” by Anette Krogstad, “Monstera”, copper salad servers by Lars Beller Fjetland or “Traced”, structured wooden plates by Sverre Ungher. They’re all objects of desire to say the least. And though you can’t take them with you, there are product cards to keep as a souvenir. The excellently curated show isn’t only worth a visit for the products alone, though – the exhibition design alone provides plenty of eye candy, as well as interior inspiration with three colour tones made uniquely for “Structure”. Now we know the secret to surviving the rest of winter: Tones of dusty pink all round.(Text: Nina Trippel)
