VIDEOART AT MIDNIGHT: FILMS & ANIMATIONS BY TOBIAS ZIELONY

VIDEOART AT MIDNIGHT: FILMS & ANIMATIONS BY TOBIAS ZIELONY

Founded in 2008, Videoart at Midnight is an artists’ cinema project that occurs once a month at the historic Babylon in Mitte. We’ve featured the event in Cee Cee before, but are doing so again as tomorrow night (24.11.17) we’re looking forward to a selection of short video and animated films by German artist Tobias Zielony. Known best for his photographic depiction of juvenile minorities in suburban areas, Tobias began working with film in 2008, and it’s increasingly become a central part of his oeuvre. Somewhere between illusion and reality, melancholy and hope, eight of his films will be screened — giving viewers who are unfamiliar with his works a well-rounded introduction, and those who are already fans, a great opportunity to view these pieces again in a unique setting.
