VERENA SCHWARZ RECOMMENDS: 1ST & 3RD ADVENT OPEN STUDIO

VERENA SCHWARZ RECOMMENDS: 1ST & 3RD ADVENT OPEN STUDIO

Here is a profession I could never succeed in: a goldsmith. Working on a miniature scale is beyond my capacity. This is why I admire the rings and bracelets created by Elena and Isabella, or their brand est. Simply wearing them makes me proud. The duo works on the pieces in their studio in Neukölln, and you’ll find the results in shops like Süper Store in Kreuzberg. Perfectly timed before the gift-giving season, the designers are offering their jewelry alongside products by fellow designers at the “Open Studio” event during the first and third weekend of Advent. You’ll have to make up your mind between the filigree pieces by est, the minimal glass cube pendants by Hanna Pordzig, nature-inspired accessories by Natsuko Mizushima van der Ree, and playful cloud or pumpkin motif porcelain pendants by Yama collection. Speaking of porcelain: handmade cups and vases by Schoemig Porzellan will take part, too. Last but not least, chocolates by the Japanese shop Nazuna will be the icing on the cake.
