WANDELISM — STREET ART EXHIBITION FOR ONE WEEK ONLY

WANDELISM — STREET ART EXHIBITION FOR ONE WEEK ONLY

Street art’s excitement is due to its transient nature; it emerges from a city and cannot withstand that city’s transformation over time. It is precisely this fact that is the focus of the Wandelism project. Wandelism is an amalgam of the German word wandel – meaning change – and the English word vandalism. Starting on Saturday (17 March 2018), visitors will be able to admire large-scale works of well-known graffiti and street artists such as 1UP, Dave the Chimp, Loomit, and Dejoe in a 2,000-square-meter space in Wilmersdorf. The organizers are dedicating this project to a good cause. The proceeds will not only be donated to a social project, but also fairly distributed among the artists and volunteers. Visitors will determine the amount they want to spend for admission themselves, an excellent idea. Our verdict: You should definitely mark your calendars for this one-week exhibition because there is no hope of it being extended. The building will be demolished after the show!
