ALL GOOD THINGS — CC CALENDAR TIPS BETWEEN FRYING OIL, BIRTHDAYS & INDEPENDENT PRINT

Serving up a weekend in three courses: crispy dough, deep oceans, and independent publishing. The CC Calendar tips are proof that all good things come in threes. The weekend kicks off warm and greasy. At Anima, pizza meets hot oil, also known as Pizzanima. Sounds like a spontaneous 3 a.m. decision, but it’s more than that. Cocktails, wine, vinyl, and a few specials available only that evening. Wash those greasy fingers, because the weekend keeps going! Until Sunday (16.11.2025), BookBook Beyond Berlin is waiting to be explored. At Common Imprint in Mitte, independent Asian art publications from the South Korean festival are on display. Between the pages, one question stands out: How do ideas, aesthetics, and narratives travel through independent publications across Asia? Perfect for three things: sitting, flipping, and immersing. Since Wednesday (12.11.), Ma-Makan has been celebrating its third birthday all week long. Expect film screenings, a collaboration with Aris, and a raffle, with proceeds going to Ma-Makan’s sambal production (Indonesian chili sauce). The celebration wraps up Sunday (16.11.) with an all-you-can-eat buffet (walk-ins welcome). Another triple celebration is happening with Felicitas Seidler. The Berlin-based jewelry designer lives for honest craftsmanship and clean forms. And, on Friday (14.11.), she kicks off a new era with Three Times New: new branding, a new online shop, and a new series called Soft Square. At the launch in her studio, enjoy natural wine, snacks, and conversations about material and identity. And of course, there’s a pop-up — three days long!

Sashishi, a 3D artist working in Georgia and Berlin, shows his work at Tattoostudio AKA from Friday to Sunday (14.–16.11.) in a solo exhibition featuring limited editions and a Flash Day. Meanwhile, another solo artist takes over Mitte. Julian Charrière transforms the gallery Dittrich & Schlechtriem on Saturday (15.11.) into an immersive deep-sea environment inspired by field research. Black Smoker begins with a three-hour vernissage, bringing the rumble of subterranean volcanoes, the hiss of hot springs, and the crash of shifting earth layers to life. The exhibition runs until early January 2026. For something gentler, the Rosegarden hosts the launch of Viscose Journal Issue 8: Sound on November 15. This fashion journal examines clothing differently this time, as frequency, soundtrack, and atmosphere. Plus, three names play a key role: Valentina Triet, Bill Kouligas and Seth Price, who presents an unreleased music piece. A trip to Neukölln is a must. There, Roman Rough Radio celebrates its third birthday on Saturday (15.11.) at Arkaoda, with three DJs filling the night with beats and a B2B set in the Bar Room. On Sunday (16.11.), get cozy and crafty at Helka Ceramics‘ Autumn Market in their studio. You’ll find everything from ceramics and cosmetics to accessories and scented candles. A perfect opportunity to stay on theme and take home three things at once.
