AURA VALENTIN – FASHION BOUTIQUE MEETS CAFÉ

AURA VALENTIN – FASHION BOUTIQUE MEETS CAFÉ

Sanderstrasse has a new two-in-one spot: a boutique with a café. Amundra and Lo have teamed up and opened their lovely space “Aura Valentin”. The boutique by Amundra currently stocks vintage dresses from the 50s recovered in Bali – an almost forgotten stock by her grandmother, customized for today. There are the lovely Hawaii-inspired bikinis by 1979 and you’ll also find second hand shoes and accessories. Just like most other brands she carries, Amundra aims to support local designers from Neukölln and Kreuzerg – because the Kreukölln shopping experience needs some uplift and there’s still a lot to discover. She’s a real Kreuzberger too. On the other side of the wall, connected through a door is the café “Valentin” run by Lo, who is of Swedish and Danish decent. I had a refreshing elderflower lemonade and heard there will be Danish smørrebrød breakfast soon and Swedish berry tartes. The menu is currently being written, so we’ll have to report soon with some more details and photos.
