Hidden in a backyard on Paul-Lincke-Ufer, a small station for caffeine junkies opened last summer: Concierge Coffee. The boys, Benjamin Pates and his partner Namy Nosratifard, are protégés of Berlin’s famous school of finest brew, Bonanza Coffee Heroes. They turned a former concierge’s hut into their vision of a petit café in a mere 15 square meter space with a window to sell their excellent coffee. What they’re lacking in size, they make up for in aroma and flavor. For now I’ll bide my time drinking the house recommendation: a perfect flat white.
