As far as immersive musical experiences go, 1:1 Concerts is something special. This concert series enables you to spend ten minutes enjoying a one-on-one performance sitting right in front of the person playing. Inspired by Marina Abramović’s performance The Artist Is Present, the project was launched in 2019 by Stephanie Winker, Franziska Ritter and Christian Siegmund for the chamber music festival in Volkenroda, Thuringia, and has since developed into a nationwide series. You experience the concert alone and in silence in an unfamiliar environment: perhaps in nature, at an art gallery or – coming this weekend – an empty warehouse at Berlin Decks, a former industrial site and future workplace in Moabit. On Friday (12.06.2020) you can discover this space and get a treat for your ears as you come face to face with a maestro.
