A new month, a new week, a new weekend, a new event bundle. This time we’re featuring a FLINTA* Sound Festival, drinks and bites at Unkompress, and Bastian Thiery’s photo book launch “Ordnungsamt“. It’s off to a flying start, as the Ordnugsamt opening takes place tonight (11.07.2024 from 18h) at Grotto in Hansaviertel. On display are the works of the German photographer taken on the streets of Berlin over the last four years. It’s a collection of everyday scenes reflecting the tension between order and rebellion. In another corner of the city, directly on the Spree, the Heroines of Sound festival kicks off at Radialsystem (11.-13.07.) — an interplay of concerts, performances, workshops, panel talks, and sound art — to strengthen the presence of FLINTA* artists in electronic music. There is also music on Sunday (14.07.) at Unkompress, with culinary accompaniments: Hudson will bring natural wine from Lammidia, pilsner from Hops & Barley, and a smokey beef and double cheese grilled sandwich to the Listening Bar right next to Hasenheide. A weekend full of art, sound, drinks and hopefully sunshine — it promises one thing above all else: a good time.
