Coffee Week Berlin is back for the second time! Founded by Communal Coffee and Cee Cee, this festival is for coffee lovers and professionals alike. With over 90 events citywide, the schedule is packed and full of variety. To kick things off, we recommend the official opening (RSVP here), which takes place Monday at the brand-new AchtBerlin event space. From there, the choices are endless: cupping, cupping, cupping — with whoever and wherever you want. The lineup is impressive, so grab your spoons and dive in! Check out 19grams’ event with BWT Water+More for a deep dive into how water impacts coffee (RSVP here). Feeling creative? There are Latte Art workshops for all skill levels. How about the “Home Barista Class” at Five Elephant in collab with Sage? (RSVP here.) If you’re in the mood to learn about coffee origins, Roaster Tesfaldet Tecle is taking you on a journey through Ethiopia’s rich coffee history at Kaffeekirsche (RSVP here). Want more? Join the Fjord Coffee Roasters crew at Sorrel for the “Acid Test” on Wednesday (RSVP here).
Or, attend a sensory class at Röststätte, led by Brewers Cup runner-up June Simon, featuring interactive exercises (RSVP here). For the visually curious, check out microscopic coffee images at Firstcrack Roasters (RSVP here). Ready to get active? On Tuesday, join La Marzocco and Coffee Circle for a “Community Ride,” biking from Neukölln to the west side, finishing at Coffee Circle’s location with discussions about bikes, beans and good times (RSVP here). You’ll also find community vibes at the Run’n’Rave event, hosted by Run’n’Rave, Oatly and August 63. Daytime partying is the new thing — perfect for kicking off your holiday. Friday rolls in with a party vibe, with Refuge Worldwide DJs at Promenadeneck for the Minor Figures Clock-Off (RSVP here). And on Saturday (05.10), we’ll wind down the week with the Coffee Week Berlin Closing Event — because why stop there?
