An alfresco dinner in Acapulco – the ultimate tropical dream, right? But don’t book flights to the Pacific coast just yet, because this getaway is less far-flung than you might think. The Ackerpulco we’re talking about is in Brandenburg, among the arable fields of Alt-Madlitz. For one weekend only (05 & 06.08.2022), the organic vegetable farm will serve as the location for a six-course dinner co-hosted by the fine dining fermenters at Merold and Korean restaurant Nanum. The restaurants’ founders, Jonas Merold and Jinok Kim-Eicken, are teaming up to serve a vegan menu on a dining table right in the middle of a Brandenburg pasture. Three dishes are from Jonas, three are from Jinok – all can be paired with wine if you want. Expect fresh summer veg, fermented flavors and all-round culinary excellence. Also: while you are there, you can add on a visit to another organic farm, the neighboring Gut&Bösel, where the team offer tours of their advanced cultivation methods. It is here that Merold is hosting a few other dinner pop-ups, including tomorrow and Saturday (29 & 30.07.2022). Check the website for more details and bag yourself a ticket for a tasty farm-to-fork escape.
