Looking to kit out the kids room this Christmas? Head over to Filipok for well-designed, sturdy children’s furniture delivered to your door. The Berlin-based online retailer was founded in 2018 by parents Arne und Irina Zwenger who were looking for the perfect multifunctional furniture for their son Nils. The result: innovative designs such as the Kubik reversible stool that is inspired by educationist Maria Montessori. The chair is robust, multifunctional and contributes to the child’s independence, serving equally well as a seat or a doll’s house. Filipok’s self-designed range has now been expanded to include a reversible bench, a play table and a sweet house-shaped bed – all with wooden construction, making the different pieces super easy to combine. In addition to in-house designs, the shop features a selection of other brands that subscribe to Filipok’s distinctive design philosophy, with playful, dimmable nightlights by Mr Maria and fluffy rugs and cuddly animals by Oyoy Living. There are also wooden toys such as Bena building blocks and a delightful learning clock from the renowned toymakers of Germany’s Erzgebirge region.
