Playful surface structures of nine colorful large-scale woodcuts greet visitors at the entrance. Inside, bronze heads stare down at their opposing brothers on paper, two steel and bronze female figures stretch across the floor, while flowers pay homage to conceptual artist Marcel Duchamp. The MeCollectors Room is dedicating the space to the exhibition”Kind Regards, Thomas Schütte” starting this Saturday, focusing on the German artist’s prints. Over 200 works from the collection of Thomas Olbricht will be up until next spring, ranging from his early works from the 80s right up to his most current. The exhibition is complemented by sculptures and water color paintings with motifs that echo his printed works. His themes spread through all media, always accompanied with a touch of wry humor.
