I had no idea that hoola hooping was such a popular underground art form in North America until the organizers of the Hoopurbia conference in Berlin contacted us. Whether this hip-swaying activity will become popular here in Germany too, is yet to be proven. But this weekend is most definitely the right time to find out – the conference program includes performance showcases by pros, workshops for you to improve your skills, a pool party, site-specific flash mobs in front of monuments (watch out) as well as a screening of the “The Hooping Life” at The Wye and much more. Visit Hoopurbia to see the full program.
