Time to gather around a bowl of borscht one last time before winter officially melts away. Spicy toasts and exhibitions full of summer longing follow. A little push into March with CC’s Calendar picks. At Markthalle Neun today (26.02.2026), a slice of Ukraine is being served. Vareniki, borscht, syrnyky, and holubtsi bring the flavors of Café Kyiv to life — a culinary continuation of the event hosted a few days ago by the Konrad Adenauer House. For Street Food Thursday, warm aromas remind us of the ongoing Russian war of aggression, offering a chance to support. On Friday (27.02.), it’s worth heading to the Roter Salon at the Volksbühne. Delfi Magazin presents its new issue “Hype” — a word that surrounds us constantly, yet its meaning is elusive. Logan February, Hengameh Yaghoobifarah, and Ivy Nuss read and discuss it, moderated by Enrico Ippolito (all in English!). Those longing for warm hands can experience them all weekend (26.02.–01.03.) with Eduard. He makes his pop-up debut in Neukölln, showcasing his Himalaya collection. Book a tea tasting in advance or simply drop by for a cup. Would you like another steep? On Friday (27.02.), Another June serves up Vinyl & Tea. DJs Mellowman and End80s spin exclusively on vinyl — think jazz, soul, and disco — while around twenty teas from Moychay are brewed in the Gongfu style. A tea tasting is included with entry. For dog lovers, Saturday (28.02.) beckons at the Karlshorst Racecourse.
At Bark Date, meet around thirty dogs, easily spotted by their red “Adopt Me” bandanas. No adoptions happen on the spot; it’s about meeting, mingling, and seeing if sparks fly. If there’s a match, contact details are exchanged, and everything else is handled through verified animal welfare organizations. Early birds on Saturday (28.02.) can stop by the Flea Market hosted by Women Authors of Achievement and Marsano. There, an irresistible trio awaits: vintage pieces, sparkling drinks, and take-home bouquets. And on Saturday, Sara Barto‘s Toasty Saturday is a celebration of bold flavors — sour, spicy, and full-bodied. Think kimchi and Italian beef on sourdough from The Wedding Loaf, or kimchi with Chicago-style giardiniera. In the evening, there’s an auction of artworks by Mahl. If flowers and Italian-style toasties haven’t yet brought the summer feeling, you can chase it until Thursday (05.03.) at Galerie Höle on Linienstraße, with its public photo exhibition Want To Feel The Summer, open until the following weekend. A lavish finish awaits on Sunday (01.03.) at Sunday Bonus in Bar Sway, with Club Baguette taking over afternoon service. French-style snacking at its finest: freshly topped baguettes, nothing but delicious. Classic ham or vegetarian with Comté. While supplies last. Step into March with a full belly and full heart!
