INTERDISCIPLINARY, IMMERSIVE, INTERACTIVE: THE FORECAST FESTIVAL INVITES YOU TO SEE, LISTEN AND PARTICIPATE WITH TOPICS ALL ABOUT TOMORROW

The things that will concern us in the future are difficult to predict, but this year’s interdisciplinary 6th Forecast Festivalonce again allows us a small glimpse into the design and rethinking of what’s to come. The development of various projects from fields such as architecture, sound and science takes place in exchange and close collaboration between mentors such as Tatjana Bilbao, Mathilde Monnier and Emeka Ogboh – among others – and their mentees. The results of the artists, performers, designers, choreographers and creatives can be seen at the Radialsystem on the 8th and 9th of April, 2022. The former pumping station on the Spree will be transformed into an interactive experience space as part of the festival.

Ulli Lust will kick things off with a sneak preview of her graphic novel “Die Frau als Mensch” – a comical yet critical look at gender and art in history. Parallel to this, there will be a workshop by dancer and choreographer Simona Deaconescu, together with musician Guru Olombelo Ricky around rhythm and movement. On Saturday, Francesca Bria (a digital policy expert) and Evgeny Morozov will discuss topics such as digital public space, cryptocurrencies and DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations), while later in the evening, sound artist and musician Iman Jesmi will explore the acoustic and olfactory memories of various European cities (“Sensory Souvenir“). There will also be a chance to participate: you’ll have the opportunity to share sounds you have recorded of your surroundings – be it the street you live on or the café around the corner – with other participants during the workshop. We say: The next interactive festival weekend is ready to go!
