NYC-STYLE COOKIES THAT CRUMBLE: ROUND & EDGY BRINGS AMERICAN COOKIES TO MITTE

Berlin has a new destination for die hard sweet tooths: Round & Edgy. The Mitte cafe-shop serves up NYC-style cookies that are totally plant based. Whether you plan a special pilgrimage or are lured in from the street by the smell of freshly baked dough, you won’t regret paying this place a visit. Inside you can bite into the likes of Blueberry Cheesecake, Crumblebee (vanilla, white chocolate, fresh apricots and crumble), White Choc Burned Macadamia and good ol’ choc chip. Founders Armando Mayr and Martina Scherer set up shop after falling in love with the chewy, cake-like texture of American cookies while visiting New York.

Their shop has a spacey design with blue lights and techno beats – perhaps not what you’d expect from a biscuit shop but all the more thrilling for it. Presented on a marble counter, the cookies look like little works of art, while behind you can catch a glimpse of the “cookie studio” where the chewy biscuits are made. Whether you want to spice up afternoon tea or need an on-the-go snack, Round & Edgy has treats that are as fresh and warm as they are addictive. You have been warned.
