A pieces of Alpine life has made it to Neukölln: two men, one from Palatinate and the other from South Tyrol started to teach southern German/Austrian food culture. Just off of Weserstrasse’s bar area you can enter the duo’s private space on Fridays – Werner and Christian convert their living room into a place to feed around 20 people. Different types of “Knödel”, the German/Austrian dumpling, are served – all of which are created with passion and creativity. You can mix and match the different flavors as you go. Salad is served on the side, choose wine or beer and enjoy. Vegetarians, don’t worry there are plenty of variations sans meat. What started out with passion for the south Tyrolean bread dumpling in summer of 2013 is now being continued in Markthalle Neun as well, where the team exhibits its culinary art.
