ACQUIRE ART AND SUPPORT THE LOCAL SCENE — WESERHALLE ONLINE ART AUCTION

ACQUIRE ART AND SUPPORT THE LOCAL SCENE — WESERHALLE ONLINE ART AUCTION

The relationship you have with the artworks in your own house is the most intimate – and rewarding – imaginable. Yet when it comes to buying, art auctions can seem like distant, exclusive affairs for non-collectors. The Weserhalle Online Art Auction starting this week is just the opposite, providing an open platform for local art that you don’t need a fortune to buy. The Neukölln gallery has curated a selection of works by 32 Berlin-based artists from 26 countries for the bidding, with a proportion of each sale going to the Weserhalle to help fund its program of art, discourse and culture. The selection – which can be viewed online and in person – includes works by Arthur LaidlawJohanna DumetRoberto Rivadeneira and Ivana de Vivanco. And with all bidding taking place online, you won’t have to leave the comfort of you home to take part. Check out the selection online and get ready to bid – no pre-registration required – and support the city’s artists in the process.
