HANDMADE EASTER TREATS FROM WALTER CONFISERIE

HANDMADE EASTER TREATS FROM WALTER CONFISERIE

Although the Easter egg hunting this year won’t take you further than your balcony, you can still delight chocolate lovers young and old with a basket of handcrafted goodies from Walter Confiserie. Rejuvenated with new management in 2018, this chocolatier has been sweetening the lives of Berliners with its handmade chocs for over 100 years, crafting pralines, fine chocolates and baked treats according to recipes passed down from founder Hugo E. Walter himself. This Easter there’s traditional marzipan-covered Easter bunnies and milk chocolate shells filled with creamy nougat, with dark chocolate eggs paired with crispy almonds to mix up the textures. After a more unorthodox Easter fix? Besides Walter’s typical eggs and bunnies you’ll also find chocolate flavors that break the mold, including cashew and orange, pistachio crumble and almond and red pepper. Yes, this year the Easter bunny is bringing some spice. Check out Walter’s three Berlin shops, still open for pre-Easter pickups. Walter is currently keeping hospital staff and other key workers supplied with chocs as part of their “Walter Hilft” campaign.
