LIME GREEN ON THE MOVE: THE NEW LIMEBIKE IN BERLIN

LIME GREEN ON THE MOVE: THE NEW LIMEBIKE IN BERLIN

Lime green has become one of the city’s signature colors. The credit goes to Lime and the scooters that get us just about anywhere: spontaneously to a picnic in Tiergarten, just in time for the train, or to catch the last rays of sunshine by the Spree. The same freedom, just a bit quieter, with pedals instead of a footboard… Since March 2026, new LimeBikes have been rolling through the city as an addition to the existing fleet. Lime is no longer some unfamiliar player, but rather a fixed part of the city’s background hum. As the world’s largest provider of shared e-micromobility, Lime follows a clear idea: mobility should not only work, but also be accessible, affordable, and ideally emission-free. The new bike is not a radical reinvention, but a carefully refined model. The step-through frame is lower, making it easier to get on and making riding more stable. Perfect for helping Berliners of all sizes get on with confidence. The bikes feature incredibly comfortable grips and a smartphone holder that makes navigation easy. And then there’s the surprisingly spacious basket for your handbag, backpack, or last-minute Späti shop. On the LimeBike, with the breeze of the city and spring in our hair, we ride into this city’s future: mobility should be accessible, shared, and spontaneous. The lime-green bike is an invitation.
