MYCS: FRIEDRICHSTRASSE INTERIOR DESIGN SHOP FOR FURNITURE DESIGNS THAT MATCH YOUR SPACE AND STYLE — ONLINE AND INSTORE

Having spent so much time indoors over the past year, I have been giving lots of thought to how I can turn my apartment into a space that works for me. Rather than off the rack designs, I am always looking for furniture that fits my space and individual style. If you feel like this too, MYCS might just be the right place for fresh ideas. The brand features numerous chairs, dining tables, shelves, cabinets, cupboards and sideboards and lets you play around with different formations and styles. Currently they have around 18,000 modules which can be combined to create countless fixture variations. Along with the huge color variations already in place (100+), MYCS have also given their GRYD range a makeover with a new slick modern palette that can be mixed and matched to make combinations to suit your mood. These new colors are accompanied by modern matte finishes and are even more hard-wearing, robust and scratch-resistant. To top it off, the GRYD series consists of 85 percent renewable raw materials.

You can design your interior style right from home online or pop by the showroom at Friedrichstrasse if you need advice in person. Personally, I love stopping by the store to really feel and experience the pieces on offer, though the online configurator is so easy and fun it almost feels like a game. According to MYCS, their self-developed online configurator is the most advanced in the world, without need for special software or apps. The brand has got most types of furniture covered, with highlights including the Tyme sofa system, the Tymber Nordyc table and the Syde table with a marble top. If you’re short on time or need extra help, the team also has a personalized interior design service so you can kit out your home without the usual stress. As for the design philosophy, the focus is on minimalistic, geometric, contemporary pieces, though you can make them your own with the various finishes and add-ons. If you prefer seeing your furniture up close before you buy (and who doesn’t?) you can book an appointment to visit the showroom where the team will show you all the myriad options. The only challenge: making your mind up!
