SCANDINAVIAN TRENDS: NORDIC FASHION HUB IN BIKINI BERLINSCANDINAVIAN TRENDS: NORDIC FASHION HUB IN BIKINI BERLIN

Anyone who’s been to Stockholm or Copenhagen knows that the Nordic nations are the home of trendiness. No wonder, then, that Fashion Week Berlin next week will direct its gaze northwards: 15 designers from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden will present their designs as part of a temporary exhibition at the Nordic Fashion Hub at Bikini Berlin, showing current collections and contemporary trends. Fashion houses such as J.Lindeberg or Vagabond will show the traditionally minimalist designs the region is famed for, while designers such as the Finnish Liisa Risky have a surprisingly feminine and colorful take. The Norwegian label byTiMo is timelessly romantic and Icelander Heidrun Osk Sigfusdottir’s label Dimmblá is classically elegant. At Tuesday’s launch (28.6.2016), you will have the opportunity to meet the designers in person and chat over cocktails while celebrating the opening of Fashion Week. (Text: Stephanie Johne)
