OUTDOOR REVISITED: PATAGONIA SECONDHAND & REPAIR SHOP

OUTDOOR REVISITED: PATAGONIA SECONDHAND & REPAIR SHOP

Can you purchase clothing without harming the environment? That’s a tough one! But there are prime examples of difference makers. Take for instance Patagonia, known for its practical and functional outdoor clothing. The American company is doing everything it can to minimize its impact on the environment – and wants to influence consumers to do the same. Patagonia is currently utilizing the Patagonia Secondhand Shop and a repair station in Berlin to ensure that these are not just empty promises. This Saturday (14.10.2017), you can buy a used Patagonia piece at a great price with an extra good conscience. First, your purchase is sustainable and second, the proceeds go to three environmental initiatives. If you’re in need of nothing new, take your damaged outdoor items (they do not have to be Patagonia) to the Worn Wear Station and let them be repaired for free! If all of this is still too superficial for you, take a look at tonight’s “Save the Blue Heart of Europe” event, which is about the unique river landscape in the Balkans. (Text: Nina Trippel)
