Are you the type who’s always looking for smart ways to cook with your air fryer? Or perhaps you’re curious about the latest thinking on wellbeing and longevity? Domestic bliss of all kinds can be found at IFA, the annual electronics and home appliances show being held at Messe Berlin this week.
But it can also be found somewhere else: the historic Kant-Garagen car park building in Charlottenburg, where Bosch and Siemens Hausgeräte are hosting a parallel Stage of Life program of household demos, workshops and activities (05 & 06.09.2026). Free to attend, the program kicks off with chef and food stylist Sabrina Cipolla who will be showing how to turn plating into an art form (05.09.). If ceramics are more your vibe, you can join the pottery painting session with Portuguese inspired brand Onomao from 13h. The weekend also has a number of masterclasses for cleaning content fans, including household hacks with cleanfluencer Maria Lust (05.09.) and cleaning tips with Kevin Reinl (06.09.).
But “Stage of Life” goes beyond cooking and cleaning. It also explores the home as a place to recharge, with Recover Society and KaDeWe previewing the new Hub for Health & Sports, opening at KaDeWe in October 2026. Expect breathwork, Pilates, longevity and recovery sessions – plus a Dryll Community Run through Berlin, followed by a Sober Bakery Rave back at the Kant-Garagen, with DJ sets, coffee and fresh protein bread on Sunday morning. Also on Sunday is a session on the secrets of kombucha, hosted by Bouche and glassmaker Zwiesel. Finally, wrapping up the weekend is a primer on a simple, floral ingredient to brighten up your meals: preserved lemons. You can check out the full cooking, cleaning and wellbeing program – and quickly sign up for a free day pass – on the website.
