INTIMATE ENCOUNTERS WITH MASTERS OF SURREALISM

INTIMATE ENCOUNTERS WITH MASTERS OF SURREALISM

This contribution is featured in our Cee Cee No.2 Book, which is available for purchase here — and incidentally makes for a great Christmas present 😉

Opened to the public in summer 2008, the Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg features an impressive collection of art, including eminent works from old and recent masters such as Francisco de Goya, Max Ernst und René Magritte. Located out west opposite the Charlottenburg Palace, the collection holds 250 works ranging from paintings to sculptures and works on paper across three floors. In addition, the museum offers a film program of classic films by Luis Buñuel, Salvador Dalí and contemporary Surrealist artists. Just across the street, the Berggruen Museum presents classical modernist masterpieces, which can be accessed with a combined entrance ticket.
