STEEL VINTAGE BIKES CAFÉ — THE SPIRIT OF CYCLING

STEEL VINTAGE BIKES CAFÉ — THE SPIRIT OF CYCLING

A bike is more than just a mode of transportation. Whether you’re gliding over Berlin streets or breezing down a country highway, they shape your vision of the world. None of this significance is lost on the cycle store, Steel Vintage. Inspired by the bicycle ride “L’erocia”, an uncompetitive event that embodies the spirit of cycling, Steel Vintage is a beautiful articulation of it’s culture, history, and technology. Inside, vintage bikes from the likes of Rossin, Bianchi, and F. Moser line the walls. Each one has been hand picked in Italy before being brought back to the Friedrichshain store, where it is restored to an immaculate finish. There’s also clothing by De Marchi and German brand Orwi — perfect attire to go with your retro cycling look. Besides being a shop and base for bikes, Steel Vintage is also a café that happens to sell F. Moser’s wine, Italian coffee, sandwiches, and a selection of antipasti. All these aspects come together in a lively environment, creating a space for bicycle enthusiasts of all kinds. (Text: Ben Barlow)
