Diving into the water in these sweltering temperatures and letting the wind caress your wet skin is something you can do particularly well with Sunny Boats. Sunny Boats offers boats with space for up to 12 people and are an easy, comfortable and, above all, fun way to explore Berlin from a different perspective and escape the hot, shadeless streets. And yes, there is plenty of shade here: each model is equipped with a sprayhood or bimini top – these not only provide the necessary protection from the blazing sun, but also give you the opportunity to sail dry across the Spree even in a light drizzle. However, if you are particularly looking forward to cooling off in the wet, you can drop anchor at any time, for example in front of the Funkhaus. We also sat down here for a small picnic (which can be arranged for you on request), while the others watched us on the stand-up paddle boards and made ourselves comfortable on the sun lounger with a book and a drink. Incidentally, the bathing platform with bathing ladder will convince even the biggest swimming fanatic in the group to take a dip in the water.
And if not, they can simply be appointed captain, because the motto here is: full speed ahead – without a boating license. Before you set off, the team will give you an introduction and make sure you feel comfortable on the water and know the rules. The starting point is Rummelsburger Bucht – from here you can make your way across the Spree to Köpenick and Müggelsee. Of course, you can bring your own food and drinks, and if you fancy a barbecue on such a hot and active day, you can get one directly from Sunny Boats. I’d say: put on your flip-flops, close your laptop and get out on the water – we’ve waited long enough for summer.
