Roast lamb and an Easter egg hunt – there’s no such thing as Easter without it. Or is there? Julia and Isa from food blog Zucker & Jagdwurst show you that you don’t have to do without classics like cheese sauce and parmesan if you happen to be vegan. In their book Vegan durch den Tag (“Vegan through the day”), which was released in November 2022, the two foodies have collected recipes for all occasions, seasons and times of the day. You’ll find quick breakfasts to go, elaborate brunches with homemade rolls, strawberry jam and vegan egg salad, and stracciatella pancakes with whipped cream for the weekend. Looking for something more hearty? How about tofu with vegan parmesan crust, mashed potatoes and carrots and red cabbage? You can find the right recipe for every meal here, with manageable ingredients that are easy to whip up. The accompanying audiobook is a particular highlight: you can access episodes containing additional know-how and tips for each recipe by scanning QR codes in the book. This makes cooking even easier and more entertaining. So even if the Easter bunny only brings vegan chocolate, you can still have a memorable feast (vegan Easter fruit bread, carrot cake and eggnog?). Happy plant-based Easter!
