ALWAYS FORWARDS, NEVER BACKWARDS — THE FESTIVAL FOR CREATIVES AT THE HAUS DER KULTUREN DER WELT

ALWAYS FORWARDS, NEVER BACKWARDS — THE FESTIVAL FOR CREATIVES AT THE HAUS DER KULTUREN DER WELT

Summer is upon us and we’re anticipating long Sundays at the lake and lazy thoughts in the office. If you want to skip the lethargy and feel creatively reinvigorated instead, we recommend the Forward Festival. It’s returning this year in August 2024 to the Haus der Kulturen der Welt — one of the most beautiful places in the city for long summer evenings. With more than forty speakers from all over the world, art performances, network activations, and, of course, after-parties, the creative festival will coax even the most tired brain cells out of their reserve this year. The focus is on inspiration and cooperation, while the dense and complex background is teeming with artificial intelligence, new work, CGIs and cutting-edge technologies. The whole festival will take place from 29-30.08.2024 on three stages and various side stages — so there will be no shortage of inspiration. This year’s participants include Austrian graphic designer and typographer Stefan Sagmeister (who doesn’t know him!), creative director, photographer and artist Max Siedentopf, and New York designer Nicole McLaughlin, queen of upcycling, who turns lemon squeezers into bras and lint rollers into heels. And when the sun sets, your brain is full of ideas from the last lectures, and your glass is filled with a sparkling drink, you might also realize how full your heart is. Thanks to all the interaction of wonderful people, architectures, structures, impulses and inputs of this festival. Advance ticket sales have started here — forward is also the motto here, as places are limited.
